Getting Inked!

HYDERABAD: Getting a tattoo is a big decision as it is going to be permanently etched on your skin. If you are a newbie to the experience, it is always better to research well beforehand to avoid any regrets. While you can experiment later on, if you find yourself confused with regards to your first tattoo, check out a few frequently used designs which you can customise to suit your liking:

The Mystic:

The tribal and Celtic symbols are extremely popular. Celtic symbols and tribal designs seem original with just a few tweaks and also make the tattoo seem exotic. They are inspired from the Celts are from the Iron Age. There are Celtic symbols for everything from animals to nature, so try them out. Among these, father-daughter, mother-daughter and family Celtic knots are very popular. Another positive thing about the tribal designs is, it remains private till you explain what it means.

Know what they mean:

There are around 6, 500 languages spoken in the world as of 2014. So just imagine the number of possibilities there are for a tattoo of your choice. For outsiders, Sanskrit is a good option alongwith Russian and Chinese are really popular. But consult someone who knows the language, trusting Google can be disastrous. Keep in mind, the meaning and the place.

The constant but cute ones:

Stars, snowflakes, angels, butterflies, hearts and cupids to name a few are very popular with the girls and few people as well. Often chosen by people who just want a tattoo for fun or can also be used for a specific someone. Other common designs include skulls, dragons, knives, favourite football or sports team logos with men. Symbols of gods are also quite popular with the religious.

Everything is in the Name:

Names are a bit tricky to get tattooed. If you are going to go for the Saifeena style then it’s better to be absolutely sure about it. You can combine names and maybe get a tattoo of a symbol which represents it? For example, a tattoo for names Saroja and Krishna can be a lotus with a flute on it. So think and make sure it is not something which you will regret later.

Hitech:

3D tattooing. No they are not done by computers. They done are by hand but they bring a depth to the tattoo which is missing in a normal tattoo, they appear just  like a 2D and 3D movie.

So you can opt for these or you can try the method Sukhanand uses to select your tattoo, after all it is as permanent as is your love for ‘the one’.
