MP Meets Eflu VC, Discusses Steps to Curb Rapes on Campus

HYDERABAD:Reacting to the alleged rape of a student in the English and Foreign Languages University(EFLU) campus, Secunderabad MP Bandaru Dattatreya visited the campus on Wednesday and held talks with vice-chancellor Sunaina Singh over measures needed to prevent such incidents in future.

Expressing his solidarity with the victim, he said it is a retrograde step in a country that is marching ahead in terms of development. The incident should force everyone to question as what kind of moral and educational values are being imparted to the young generation, he added.

“Each one of us act in manner that it is our daughter who is suffering and examine whether we have imbibed values in our sons, that they will not make us hold our heads in shame,” he said in a press statement.
