SCR Official in CBI Net for Taking Bribe

HYDERABAD: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials arrested a Chief Office Superintendent (Bills Section), South Central Railway, Secunderabad, for demanding and accepting a bribe of `20,000 from a complainant. The CBI registered a case under section 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act against the tainted official. The accused demanded an illegal gratification of `20,000 from the complainant for reducing the overpaid deduction from the salary and also for not initiating any recommendation to take action as he had received overpayment.

PF Official Held

The CBI also arrested a senior assistant working in the office of Provident Fund, Nizamabad in a bribery case.  He demanded ` 6,000 as bribe for clearing PF amount of a complainant. He was produced before the special judge for CBI Cases.
