HYDERABAD: Let your child get his hands dirty at the trips organised by Dirty Feet this Saturday. This week, there are two trips which will interest children---“Lessons from Leaves” and “Rice Stories”. The trips will be held between 6 am to 3 pm wherein children aged above six can participate.
Lessons from Leaves will be organised at Singayapalli, Vantimamidi. The kids will be taught to make leaf whistles which are commonly used by shepherds, thoran, leaf plates, bowls and cones for home, roofs, mats and broom, toys and all this out of a leaf. One would have to pay `1200 per traveller.
At Rice Stories, which will be held at Annasagar, Vantimamidi, they will be taken on a tractor ride. Children will be taught to level the fields with bullocks, make bundles of paddy saplings and preparing the plots. The kids will also help the farmers in transplantation of paddy saplings. The travel fee for the trip is `1000 per traveller.
