Handloom Fiesta

HYDERABAD: For handloom and Lepakshi fans, it is good news as the  State Handicrafts Development Corporation Limited a state government undertaking is organising Lepakshi Crafts Festival, exhibition-cum-sale of handicrafts and handlooms from today to the October 29 

An exclusive exhibition being organised at all India level, with the aim of this programme is to promote and create market to the handloom and handicrafts products of the weavers and artisans.  All the varieties of handicrafts and handlooms of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and other States such as Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir, Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Bihar and Jharkhand are on display and sale in this event.  About 100 master weavers and designers and manufactures will participate to exhibit their products and sell directly to the customers. The expo has the  cotton and silk sarees, exclusive dress materials Hyderabad pearls, silver jewellery, stone jewellery and artificial Jewellery. They also have artistic metal ware, black metal castings, and exquisite carvings in wood, apart from toys and dolls leather utility goods, and jute handicrafts. The exhibition is open to public from 11am to 9 pm.
