HYDERABAD: A 22-year-old B.Tech student of Abhinav Hi-Tech Engineering college at Moinabad, allegedly attempted suicide by pouring petrol and set himself ablaze after college management refused to give him hall ticket for appearing in the exams to be held from Monday.
Police said, the college did not give him the hall ticket due to some technical problem in the student’s previous educational certificates. Depressed over the incident, the student attempted suicide. Siva Mahesh set himself afire by pouring petrol on the college premises on Monday. Other students immediately alerted the police. ‘’We shifted the student, who received 90 per cent burns, to Osmania Hospital,’’ police said.
