ZOMATO DELIVERY

To ‘avoid clutter’ and keep its delivery and search products separate, Zomato has created Order, available on iOS and Android platforms. The free app acts as a facilitator between customers and the over 1,000 restaurants on board. This means that your order is processed only after the restaurant manually accepts it. It uses your location to help place your order either based on the restaurant or the dish you’re craving. Currently, only the cash-on-delivery option is available and an update for online payments is expected.
SKYPE FOR WEB

Skype has been expanding its service across platforms – from PCs and tabs to smartphones. Now the Microsoft-owned voice and video calling service has launched the beta of Skype for Web in the UK and US. Users who would rather not download the app can go to web.skype.com to use it by signing in on the web even on the larger screens. You can start chatting via instant messaging but you need to download a plugin for calls.

In the Android phone market, while variety can be an advantage, it can also confuse a prospective buyer. Google has decided to step in with its Find the Android phone for you on its Android site. 4G SMARTPHONE

ZTE’s Blade Q lux, touted as the most economical smartphone, which has been put on sale Tuesday onwards on Amazon for Rs 4,999. It comes with a double data offer from Airtel, which ‘gives users an opportunity’ to try out 4G on their phones. The 4.5”-display device has 8 GB internal memory, expandable up to 32GB, an 8 MP primary camera and 5 MP front camera and an LED flash. The battery is said to allow for 12 hours talk time and 250 hours stand-by time.
