Children Who Beat Cancer Felicitated

HYDERABAD: A special cancer awareness programme was organised by the Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute on the the hospital premises here on Wednesday on the occasion of World Cancer Day.

Several cancer survivors specially children, who fought the disease were also felicitated during the event.

Speaking on the occasion  AP Assembly Speaker K Sivaprasada Rao said cancer is only getting stronger day by day. But with little precautions in their lifestyle, several diseases including cancer could be kept under check. 

He said there are various treatment procedures available for treating cancer.

Responding to Kodela Sivaprasad, chairman of the institute N Balakrishna, said that the hospital has recently created a dedicated research wing to study the deadly disease.

‘’We have the best scientists and doctors from the city, who will study the causes of cancer and provide quality treatment to the people,’’ he said.
