Rahmatullah Named Dean of Arts at MANUU

HYDERABAD: Prof Mohammad Miyan, vice- chancellor of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), on Wednesday appointed Prof SM Rahmatullah as Dean, School of Arts and Sciences, for a period of three years and asked him to continue as in-charge Register, the post he has been holding for the last two years.

Responding to request of Prof Rahmatullah that he be repatriated to his parent department of political science and public administration and relieve him of the duties of the Registrar, the vice chancellor took the decision. 

In another decision, Prof Mohammad Miyan appointed Prof Mohammed Zafaruddin, professor, department of translation studies, as the Officer on Special Duty at the Directorate of Distance Education.

The vice-chancellor also appointed Prof P F Rahman, Dean, School of Sciences, as the chairman of the newly-created Central Administration Monitoring and Review Committee.

In yet another decision, the vice chancellor appointed Prof Mohd Shahid of the department of social work as Dean of Student Welfare.

The vice-chancellor had earlier appointed Prof Syed Najamul Hasan, professor of mathematics as the Dean Academics.
