Hyderabad to be Under Total CCTV Surveillance

HYDERABAD:The State government on Saturday sanctioned Rs 58.58 crore for establishment of a network of CCTV cameras, to bring the city under camera surveillance. The government also issued orders sanctioning Rs 20 crore for construction of a new city police headquarters at Banjara Hills.

In separate orders, principal secretary (Home), Rajiv Trivedi said that the government has constituted a committee under the chairmanship of chief secretary, for construction of Hyderabad City Police Commissionerate Headquarters Building at Banjara Hills, as a part of enhancing the standards of safety and security in Hyderabad City on a par with other global cities.

Government will sanction fan amount of Rs 20 crore for the financial year 2015 -16 for the construction of the commissionerate.
