OU College Alumni Donates Building

HYDERABAD: Former students of Osmania University Engineering College, 1984 to 1988 batch of the department of electronics and communication (ECE), has made a contribution of Rs 70 lakh and built a new academic research centre on the university campus, as a token of gratitude towards their alma mater.

The new building, with a built-up area of 4,250 square feet, will be inaugurated at 11 am on Sunday, in the presence of the former students and retired and current faculty members. The entire amount required for the construction was borne by the alumni. This is the single largest donation by any single batch consisting of only 55 students in the history of Osmania University. The building will be a part of the ECE department and wiil be equipped with several research tools.
