MAHBUBNAGAR: In a step aimed at changing the face of medicare facilities in government sector, the state government launched e-Health services as a pilot project in Mahbubnagar district, Tuesday.

IT minister KT Rama Rao launched the e-health facility at Badepalli Community Health Centre in Jadcherla of the district as part of Digital India initiative.

Through the e-Health project, the medical reports of patients can be sent to the doctors at the district hospital online. “Specialists will interact the patients directly on Skype and give necessary suggestions,” KTR explained. Rama Rao said the e-health project will be extended to the entire state. “There will be better results if the details of every patient can be linked to his/her Aadhaar card. We have to use technology to deliver medical help,” Rama Rao opined.

Later, the ministers participated in Haritha Haaram plantation programme at Police Training Centre in Jadcherla.
