HYDERABAD: A 21-year-old youth died on the spot after a speeding truck hit the bike on which he was riding at Chandrayanagutta crossroads on Friday night.
The deceased was identified as Vinod, a resident of Chandrayanagutta. Vinod came to a petrol bunk to fill fuel in his bike. When he was coming out the petrol pump a speeding truck hit his bike resulting in his instant death.
Tension gripped the area after family members staged a dharna in front of the petrol bunk where the mishap took place. Traffic on the stretch came to standstill. Police rushed to the spot, dispersed the mob and cleared the traffic.
