Children's Film Festival in Hyderabad in November

International Children’s Film Festival of India (ICFFI) - 2015 will be held in Hyderabad from November 14 to 20.

HYDERABAD: International Children’s Film Festival of India (ICFFI) - 2015 will be held in Hyderabad from November 14 to 20. About 200 children’s films in various languages from across the world will be screened at the biennial festival.

Filmmakers, actors, critics and children from different parts of the country and world will participate in the festival which is popular for its Golden Elephant Awards. 

“We are expecting about 500 representatives from various branches of filmmaking from all over the world. Films will be screened in 12 theatres in Hyderabad.

Prasad’s Imax will be the main venue. We will soon form a committee with 25 members to plan and organise the festival,” said BP Acharya, managing director of Telangana State Film Development Corporation after holding a meeting to discuss arrangements for ICFFI.

ICFFI is being held by Children’s Film Society of India (CFSI) and Hyderabad is its permanent venue. A photo exhibition to mark 100 years of Indian cinema will be the highlight at ICFFI. CFSI chief executive officer Rita Hemrajani attended the meeting to discuss the arrangements.
