HYDERABAD: Mother’s Day is round the corner. Every child might have planned to gift their mother something unique.
Along with that special gift, you can also gift her a memory as well. TAF Sports, a start-up that regularly organises weekend peloton (cycling in a group), is organising Mother’s Day Peloton, to comemorate Mother’s Day, on Sunday.
As most of the mothers might have travelled on bicycles during their teens, participating in peloton will make them relive the good old days.
“Mother is considered to our first teacher. She teaches us important lessons of life while help us lead it easily. Getting them to enjoy the freedom by riding cycles is a very small way for us to pay them back,” says Deenanath Harapanahalli, CEO TAF Sports.
TAF Sports is a start-up based in Gurgaon. Its Hyderabad division started early this year.
The rides they conduct are often corporate and community based. Kids also participate in the pelotons. Prajvala Reddy, project manager added, “Mothers are often seen participating in different rides. But this ride is specially for them.”
TAF Sports has been part of initiatives where they aim to make roads bicycle friendly.
The ride will be held on May 10.
It is part of Raahgiri day, an initiative to reclaim the streets of Hyderabad. An area from Mind Space Circle to Biodiversity Circle will be used for the event.
It will be held from 6 am to 9.30 am. First half an hour of the ride will be free of cost.
