HYDERABAD: A 26-year-old youth from Peddapalli in Karimnagar district Mallikarjuna attempted suicide by immolating himself outside his girlfriend’s hostel at Vinaynagar colony under Saidabad police station limits on Friday morning. Mallikarjuna suffered 40 per cent burns.
Police said, Mallikarjuna went to his friend’s hostel and both went out for a walk. They both discussed several issues concerning themselves before he took out some inflammable substance and set himself ablaze, police said. ‘’Both have been tight-lipped regarding the incident and have refused to reveal any information,” said the investigating officer. No case was was registered a case in the absence of a complaint.
