HYDERABAD: The High court has ruled that Dr Renuka Datla shall discharge the functions of the managing director of the Hyderabad-based Biological E. Limited and her three daughters will remain directors on its board. Justice CV Nagarjuna Reddy, while disposing of appeals and applications filed by Dr Renuka Datla, wife of the late chairman and managing director (MD) Dr Vijay Kumar Datla, and her three daughters, observed that “with the demise of its mentor, the closely held family company, namely Biological E. Limited, has plunged into a vortex of legal litigation.”
The court constituted an adhoc board, comprising the warring mother and daughters, to run the company instead of bringing in an outsider.
