HYDERABAD: Hyderabad SHE team arrested an auto-driver for teasing a woman and misbehaving with her at Lothukunta on Wednesday.
M Ramulu (35), a resident of Balakrishna Nagar in Ramanthapur, has been plying his auto in the city for the last six months. According to police, he accosted a woman around 12 p.m. at Lothukunta and repeatedly asked her if she wanted a ride even after she refused and walked on. He parked his auto in front of her and passed lewd comments and stalked her for a while.
The victim passed on the auto number to her husband, who in turn informed the police and the posted his complaint on the SHE team’s facebook page. Soon after, the team swung into action and apprehended the driver.The police appealed to the public to dial 100 to lodge complaints about eve-teasing.
