HYDERABAD: Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will lay foundation stone for Palamuru lift irrigation scheme in Mahbubnagar on June 11.
Rao reportedly told this to his MLAs at the TRS Legislature Party meeting held in the party office on Friday. He made the announcement while listing out the achievements of his government in the one year and the initiatives that the government will take in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the state government on Friday appointed retired executive engineer of irrigation department EE Ranga Reddy as the special officer to supervise the day-to-day progress of Palamuru LI works for the speedy completion of the project. Ranga Reddy, who hails from Mahbubnagar, will be the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to CM and will supervise the lift irrigation works. A GO had been issued to this effect on Friday.
