HYDERABAD: Dandiya queen Phalguni Phatak performed live in the city on Sunday. She performed along with 22 member troupe. Her performances was backed by Ta Thaiyaa, a music band.
Phalguni has been a star attraction at Navratri events during the festive season and she makes thousands of people dance to her tracks – ‘Yaad piya ki aane lagi’, ‘Maine payal hai chhankai’, ‘Meri chunnar udh udh jaaye’ and ‘Odhani’.
‘Maine payal hai chhankai song’, which was launched in 2000 counted among the most popular garba songs by the Dandiya Queen. Known for her vivacious numbers, she uplifted everyone’s mood as she sang ‘Yaad piya ki aane lagi’. She was accompanied by dancers dressed in bright traditional attire.
