Bangalee Samity's Durga Puja

HYDERABAD:Hyderabad Bangalee Samity, one of the oldest associations of Bengalis in the city, is celebrating the 74th year of Durga Puja between October 19 and 23 at Pingle Venkatram Reddy Hall, Lower Tank Bund.

The main Maa Durga deity from Kumar Tuli in West Bengal this year will be Ek Chalar in single frame with Daaker Saaj.

There will be rituals and prayers on the four main puja days. Bhog will be offered to the Goddess and prasadam distributed to devotees on Saptami, Ashtami and Navami as annadanam. The evening aarati will be as per traditional rituals with Dhak, accompanied by Dhunuchi dance-cum-Shonko Dhwani.
