Dr KV Rao Scientific Society, which is actively involved in promoting science and encouraging students to take it up as career, hosted an event in memory of Late Dr APJ Abdul Kalam’s Birthday.

During the event science experiments were demonstrated by Prof. PK Sai Prakash, from LVPEI. The Society developed a theme “Friendship with Science”.

Programmes like Integration of Science and Art, Fun with Science Toys, Sun is Fun etc., were also conducted so that kids can get motivated to learn more about science.

About 150 school children, scientists, science scholars, researchers were present at the event.

Ms. Ratna, Secretary of Dr KV Rao Scientific Society said the science lab is open for the ones who love experimenting with the lab equipments but can not have their own. She has also announced that the Dr KV Rao Scientific Society is planning to develop a full-fledged science library for the benefit of those who do not have access to books on science.
