Woman, 5-Year Son Hurt in Snatching Bid

HYDERABAD: A series of chain-snatching incidents took place at different places in Rajendranagar police limits on Friday.

A 5-year-old boy and his mother were hospitalised with minor injuries as they fell on the ground as miscreants snatched away the necklace of the mother. The incident took place at Aramgarh Crossroads.

When a woman, along with her son, was going on foot, two thieves riding a bike snatched away the chain from the woman’s neck and drove away. In the mishap, the woman and her son fell on the ground and received injuries.  Passers-by alerted the police who visited the place and shifted the victims to a nearby hospital.

Two more similar offences took place at PVNR Exprerssway Pillar Nos. 331 and 131. Bike-riding robbers snatched away gold chains from women.
