Four Held for Forgery, Grabbing Land Worth Rs 1.5 Crore

HYDERABAD: South zone police arrested four people for forging documents and grabbing land worth  Rs 1.5 crore on Friday.

According to police, the land grabbing incident came to light based on the petition by Tayaba Bee, resident of Falaknuma who is the prime victim of this gang. She had sold a plot owned by her late husband and invested an amount of Rs 8,50,000 and purchased an open plot admeasuring 200 square yards at Bandlaguda.

Real estate businessmen, Ali Bin Mahmood Jabri (28), resident of Bandlaguda and Mir Shaker Ali (36), resident of Yasrab Nagar, Mohd Amaan (22), resident of Vattepally and Shaik Ali Bawazeer (25), resident of Chandrayangutta were arrested.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), South zone, V Satyanarayana said that the accused have formed a gang of land grabbers, used to select the open plots /semi constructed plots which were not in observation by the owners, and created forged agreement of sales along with link documents of the open plots, with the help of one Aman and Mujeeb Khan who are experts in forgery.

After creating documents all the gangsters will search for the party, they work together to make the victims believe that the land grabbers are the original owners, and enter into agreement of sale with the innocent buyers and collect the sale consideration.

The accused had created about 15 to 16 forged and fabricated documents and sold it to innocent victims. The accused created the forged documents of the open plot Nos 164, 165, 186 and 187 in Sy No 103/14, 103/16 at Bandlaguda belonging to Syad Islamuddun, professor, associate professor in Political Science (Urdu), evening college, Himayathnagar and sold 215 Square yards of this land to Mir Aslam Rahmani for Rs 11,82,500. Hundred and ten square yards were sold to Mohd Fareed for an amount of Rs 5,20,000 and 310 square yards were sold to Mohd Mehraz for an amount of Rs 19,10,000.

Only Mir Aslam Rahmani lodged a complaint against the land grabbers and subsequently a case was registered.
