HYDERABAD: Shamshabad Police arrested Md Ahmed (25) on Tuesday on the charge of murdering his father in Gandiguda village under Shamshabad Police limits. The incident took place on August 9.
The deceased, Mohammed Faheem (55) is a native of Mahbubnagar and has been working at a farmhouse here for the last five years.
He was living with his wife, two sons and a daughter at Gandiguda village. According to Police, Faheem was an alcoholic who used to beat up his wife and children under the influence of alcohol.
“On the night of August 9, when Faheem beat up his wife and children, elder son Ahmed retaliated. As Faheem collapsed, the accused strangulated him and murdered him.
Further, he bundled up the body in a rice sack and threw it in a well about a kilometer away,” said inspector K Uma Maheswar Rao, Shamshabad Police. The body was recovered from the well on Tuesday.
