Afsha Jabeen was Admin for Terror Groups on FB

Afsha Jabeen alias Nicky Joseph was admin for four Facebook groups through which she lured Muslim youth to participate in Jihadi activities.

HYDERABAD: Afsha Jabeen alias Nicky Joseph, who was recently deported from UAE and arrested at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Hyderabad on the charge of recruiting youth for dreaded terror outfit Islamic State, was admin for four Facebook groups through which she lured Muslim youth to participate in Jihadi activities.

According to the confessional statement of Afsha Jabeen, it was Salman Mohiyudeen, the Hyderabad techie who was arrested while trying to join IS, who made her the admin for four Facebook groups to influence Muslim youth. The four groups are Daula news room, Moderators Vs Liberals, Daula Islamia and Revelations and Hadith.

Salman Mohiuddin was arrested by Hyderabad police on January 16 this year while trying to reach Syria through Dubai.

“I am a strong supporter of Islamic State and have been impressed by their activities as they effectively stopped Assad (Syrian president Bashar al-Assad) from committing atrocities against Sunnis and wanted to establish Sharia. In the last quarter of 2014, Salman proposed to marry me. He hinted that for any reason if the marriage did not materialise, he intended to go to Syria and join IS,” said Jabeen in her confessional statement, a copy of which is available with Express.

 Jabeen, who was married to Devender Kumar Batra alias Mohammed Mustafa in 2002, is the daughter of Abdus Salam and Rafath Salam of Tolichowki in Hyderabad. Her family migrated to Abu Dhabi in 1980 in search of livelihood. Her father Salman started a stationery and printing store nd they lived in Abu Dhabi till 2002. She returned to Hyderabad in 1996 and and graduated in Commerce from Shadan College, Hyderabad  in 1999.

After her marriage, Jabeen created a Skype ID and an account on Facebook using ficticious names like Peacelovers and Afshan Salam and started indoctorating youth.
