Ranga Reddy Zilla Parishad Meet Held on Water Woes

HYDERABAD: Public representatives of Ranga Reddy district highlighted the water problems in the district, at the RR zilla parishad general body meeting held on Sunday.

“Severe drought conditions are prevailing in the district and 33 mandals have already been announced as drought-hit. Though Mission Kakatiya and Mission Bhagiratha programmes have been able to address the situation to some extent, severe drinking water problem may arise in the district due to drought. Government should come to the rescue of people,” said P Sunita Mahender Reddy, RR ZP chairperson.

Ibrahimpatnam MLA Manchireddy Kishan Reddy said that HMWS&SB officials have been neglecting the water concerns of citizens residing in the outskirts of Hyderabad. He urged Transport minister P Mahender Reddy present at the meeting to address the water supply problem in the outskirts immediately.
