HYDERABAD: As part of its platinum jubilee celebrations, State Bank of Hyderabad honoured a few eminent personalities in the ‘Achievers’ category at a function held here on Wednesday. Those honoured are Prof Rama Rao, renowned scientist, Padma Vibhushan and Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar award winner; Dr D.Nageshwara Reddy of Asian Institute of Gastroenterology and Padma Bhushan awardee; M.Purna, the mountaineer who climbed Mount Everest at the age of 13; and Ajay Kumar Reddy of SBH and captain of the Indian cricket team of visually challenged who has excelled in international cricket tournaments for the visually-challenged.
Finance minister Etela Rajender released a souvenir on the occasion.
