Cops Foil Contract Marriage, Arrest Oman National

Bike-borne miscreants committed offences of chain-snatching at different places in Cyberabad and Hyderabad on Thursday.

HYDERABAD: A 42-year-old Oman national who came to the city for a contract marriage with a minor was detained by police and the minor girl was rescued. The incident took place in Chandrayangutta police limits. The detained Oman national, Al Alabi Sala Fiaz Suma, arrived in the city to get married to a minor whose family has a relation with the Oman national. Fiaz Suma reportedly promised to pay amount to the parents and her family members. It is also reported that Fiaz Suma was already married to a girl from Old City earlier. On a tip off, when Fiaz Suma was interacting with Qazi (head priest) regarding contract marriage with the minor, police raided the house and detained them. Police questioned Fiaz Suma, Qazi and also the parents of minor girl.

Snatchers Make Away with gold chains

According to police, a school teacher Rani was returning to home on foot when two unknown persons, who were riding a bike,  snatched her three-tola gold chain and fled away. The incident took place in Dabeerpura police limits.

Similarly, a woman Annapurna was walking near her home in Dammaiguda when miscreants came on bike and snatched her five-tola gold chain. Police registered cases in both the incidents. Dabeerpura police who registered cases collected CCTV footage and a team of police are investigating the case to identify the miscreants.
