JNTU Blacklists 21 Professors

JNTU has published the list of blacklisted professors on the website along with their registration ID, PAN number etc.

HYDERABAD: The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University - Hyderabad (JNTU-H) has blacklisted 21 professors for fraudulently registering as faculty in more than one college.

Speaking to Express, Dr N Yadaiah, Registrar of JNTU-H, said that leagal action will be taken against the erring professors. “We have noticed that 21 professors, working in various colleges across the Telugu states, have registered themselves in more than one college. This is against section 11.9.1 of the affiliation regulation of JNTU-H. We have blacklisted them and issued showcause notice. Legal action will be initiated against all concerned in due course of time,” he revealed.

 When asked how the university tracked down these professors, the registrar said they used the PAN (Permanent Account Number) to collect details. “We have used their PAN number and found that they are serving more than one college. They would be given a chance to defend their case and later necessary action would be taken,” he added. The blacklisted professors are Murali Krishna, Melachuru, Kalluri Ramakotaiah, S Venkata Naga Srinivasu, Sanku Jai Krishna, Sharana Basaveshwar Hiremath, Palla Venkata Sai Vara Prasad, Bandaru Guru Prem, Nagaraju Mandadi Pydimuddala, Venugopal Venkatesa, Sanjeev Singh, Banoth Mohan, Srinivasan Krishnan, Ranjith Kumar Rajendren, M Siva Shanmugam, Chandra Naik Merajothu, Siva Kumar Muniswamy, Murugan Giri, Yerramilli Sri Venkata Raman, Kalluri Ramakotaiah, Venkata Ramakrishna Tottempudi, Shivganga Prasad Mutchakayala and Komaragiri Raghav Rao.  Among them, 9 were found to be working in 3 colleges, 7 were part of 5 colleges and 5 were serving 4 colleges.

  •   Professors tracked down using their PAN numbers
  •   Showcause notice issued, legal action will follow
