SCR Bags 6 Awards for Performance Efficiency

HYDERABAD:  The performance efficiency of South Central Railway (SCR) got recognised at the national level, as SCR general manager Ravindra Gupta received a record six shields from Railway minister Suresh Prabhu at the 61st Railway Week National Awards function held at the Convention Centre of KIIT University in Bhubaneswar on Sunday.

SCR received six shields for maintaining performance efficiency in comprehensive healthcare, stores, commercial, civil engineering and safety and environment management. Apart from this, Nandyal Running Room in Guntur division was adjudged the second best on the Indian Railways.

The general manager was accompanied by respective principal heads of departments while receiving the awards. The glittering function was also attended by Minister of State for Railways Manoj Sinha. Suresh Prabhu said the workforce of Indian Railways is an asset for the organisation and rewarding the best performers on the occasion of Railway Week Celebrations will motivate the employees to perform better.

In the individual awards category, four of SCR officers and staff - P Chaitanya, M Ramesh Kumar, D Jayakar, signals at Secunderabad division and S Tarakeswara Rao received the award for outstanding service.
