HYDERABAD: Even as ATMs remain dry while operational ones have serpentine queues outside them, two persons were found to be collecting debit card details from customers at ATM kiosks and withdrawing cash without their knowledge.
The Cyberabad Cyber Crime police arrested two persons, Ravipati Madhavarao and Kancharla Srikanth Babu, both from Andhra Pradesh.

The accused have withdrawn around `17 lakh from ATMs without the cardholders’ knowledge.
According to police, on Nov 28, K Manikumar, resident of Gajularamaram, Jeedimetla, lodged a complaint with police stating that transactions of `70,000 had taken place from his account without his knowledge.

He noticed seven online transactions, each of `10,000 which he did not do. Based on the complaint, police registered cases and took up investigation.
During the investigation, cops collected the account transactions details and CCTV footage from Andhra Bank. Police identified the miscreants and kept close vigil on their offences.
