HYDERABAD: After failing to respond to the notice issued to the city police commissioner M Mahendar Reddy by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights(NCPCR), a fresh notice was issued to the commissioner asking him to respond within 10 days of receipt of the fresh notice.
After death of a 13-year-old minor girl, who died after fasting for 68 days, in the city on October 3, the police commissioner was asked to submit a report by November 5, but in vein.
In its fresh notices, the NCPCR stated to send the requisite report within 10 days of the date of the receipt of the letter. The commissioner was also asked to report about the necessary action taken against the culprit.
