ACB Digs up Rs 7 Crore Illegal Assets of GHMC Engineer

HYDERABAD:  Anti Corruption Bureau officials raided the house of GHMC deputy executive engineer of Serilingampally Circle here on Thursday and unearthed Rs 7 crore worth of illegal assets.

He was arrested and produced in court, and remanded to judicial custody. According to ACB officials, they raided  the house of Maloth Peer Singh, deputy executive engineer, GHMC Circle-XII, Serilingampally, and found illegal assets. Searches were conducted at his residence at Guttala Begumpet and his relatives’ residences at Madhapur, Aryanagar and Amrad Thanda in Nizamabad.

ACB officials found that the officer was in possession of 3 residential houses at Madhapur and Malkajgiri; 3 open plots at Kondapur, Madhapur and Shamshabad; one shop in in Secunderabad; agricultural land of four acres and 7.5 acres of land in Nizambad, Rs  1.65 lakh in cash, Rs  25 lakh chit among others, all of which  are valued at Rs  7 crore.
