SURYAPET : Chivvemla police filed SC, ST atrocity case on Penpahad SI Mallesh and circle inspector Praveen Kumar on Wednesday.
On the occasion of Durajpally jathara on February 14, Vanasthalipuram SI Vijaykumar, Ramesh and other family members performed puja at the premises of Dhurajpally. In this view, Penpahad CI Praveenkumar and SI Mallesh argued with Vanasthalipuram SI Vijaykumar to close the celebrations. At that time SI Ramesh and Vijaykumar attacked Praveen and Mallesh.
In this connection, Chiveemla police filed a case on SI Vijaykumar and Ramesh and Rachakonda commissioner suspended them.
Meanwhile, after two months Vanasthalipuram SI Vijaykumar’s mother Daravath Doli loadged a complaint with Chivvemla police stating that Penpahad SI and CI harassed them in the name of ST caste on February 14 at the Durajpally festival.
Chivvemla SI Praveen told mediapersons that on receiving the complaint, SC, ST atrocity case has been filed against both SI and CI. The case is handed over to Suryapet DSP Sunita Mohan for further investigation.
