HYDERABAD: The High court on Friday admitted a writ petition which challenged the notification issued for recruitment of physical education teachers in Residential Education Societies in Telangana.
Justice P Naveen Rao directed the authorities concerned to receive the applications of the petitioners who, under the impugned notification, were to be treated as unqualified.
Petitioners A Ravikumar and others submitted that the notification prescribed that even those who had a Bachelors degree in physical education should have participated in national, state or inter-university level games and sports.
The matter has been posted to June for hearing.
