Complaint lodged by student against security supervisor at UOH

A female student from the University of Hyderabad on Tuesday lodged a complaint against a security supervisor for allegedly passing perverse comments.

HYDERABAD: A female student from University of Hyderabad on Tuesday lodged a complaint against a security supervisor (from a private agency) for allegedly passing perverse comments when she sought permission from her visitor to be let inside the campus.

The security person did not allow the male visitor citing High Court order and asked for how much time will he talk to the girl.

When the student responded that it will take an hour, the security personnel apparently smirked and posed vulgar questions.

“Why do you need to take him inside? What is it that you want to do with him? What is it that you want to talk to him about? ” was the apparent question posed by the security supervisor to the student. After she said an hour, he allegedly burst into laughter.

The student said that she lodged a complaint to UoH registrar P Sardar Singh, deputy registrar. It is learnt that officials concerned assured to take action on the issue.
