Discrimination, allege Model School teachers in Hyderabad

Alleging discrimination by the government after being left out of transfer process despite having worked five years, Model School teachers have threatened to go on a protest if their transfers are not

HYDERABAD: Alleging discrimination by the government after being left out of transfer process despite having worked five years, Model School teachers have threatened to go on a protest if their transfers are not expedited. Hours after guidelines for transfers were issued on Thursday, the Telangana State Model School Teachers Federation submitted a representation to deputy CM Kadiam Srihari, demanding action within a fortnight.

There are 2,900 teachers working in 194 Model Schools in the state. “Since the inception of the schools in 2015, these teachers have been working in the same posts and in the same location,” said Chava Ravi.
Srihari said Model School teachers who have been regularised will have to wait till August for their transfer to be initiated.
