Accused in several cheating cases held

The Thrikkakara police have arrested a habitual offender who had been evading the police for the last several years from the Kakkanad area.

The accused is Mohan Kumar, 29, of Athani, against whom 69 arrest warrants and 40 cases were registered across the state.

According to the police, he was a key accused in several cheating cases and had been absconding since 2008.

The accused was produced before the Judicial First Class Magistrate and remanded in judicial custody.
