Children’s Science Congress competitions

With the aim to improve children’s interest in science and research, National Children Science Congress will conduct competitions for children from November to December. These competitions will be held at district and national levels.

The competitions will be conducted by the Ministry of Science and Technology in collaboration with Rashtriya Vigyan Evam Prodyogiki Sanchar Parishad(RVPSP). The Children’s Science Congress will be led by Deputy Director of Education, Ernakulam, (National Green Corps)NGC district coordinator and science club district secretary.

Students teams of 2-5 members each may participate under the age categories of 10-14 years and 14-17 years(as on December 31). Competitions are open to students of government and private schools.  A workshop for teachers from school science clubs aimed at helping them guide science projects, will be held on Wednesday at the dist panchayat office in Kakkanad.  Duty leave, transportation charges and food  will be provided to teachers who participate in the workshop.

Those interested in participating should contact NGC coordinator (9388609725) before Tuesday. One out of every 15 student groups participating in the competitions will be selected for state level competitions. Those who qualify for nationals will receive grace marks and cash award.
