Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the construction works of the permanent regulator-cum-bridge being built at Periyar on Thursday.
Rural Minister K C Joseph, Union Minister for Food and Civil Supplies K V Thomas, PWD Minister Ibrahim Kunju, MPs K P Dhanapalan and P Rajeev will also speak at the function.
The scheme involving Eloor and Kadangaloor regions will cost ` 60 crore. Kochi Refineries Ltd (KRL) will spend ` 11.5 crore on the project.
