Translumina Therapeutics, a leading medical device manufacturer of Drug-eluting Stents (DES) used in angioplasty, has announced a special scheme, ‘Stent for a Lifetime’ in Kerala, ahead of World Heart Day, which falls on September 29.
Under the project, any patient who gets a YUKON PC Stent implant will get a lifetime warranty for the product, which will include replacement of the product in case of damage.
YUKON Choice PC is the first Indian DES to be accepted for publication by the Journal of American College of Cardiology (JACC) and the European Heart Journal.
“It is important to conduct extensive clinical trials on a sufficiently large population base to prove your technology. There are a few Indian companies which have not done any clinical trials and are still selling their products here.
“People must be aware of this and choose the safest product available in the market,” said Punita Sharma Arora, CEO, Translumina Therapeutics, India.
