Sexual abuse: Case against teacher

Njarackkal police have registered a case against a teacher for sexually abusing a class VIII student of a private school at Edvanakkad on Saturday.

V I Ibrahim, 42, hailing from Vypeen, has allegedly assaulted the student. He is a computer teacher at the school.

According to the police, the teacher had asked the student to come to his home on many days in the guise of giving him computer lessons.

On Friday, the victim felt sick and he narrated the incident to his father. Following a complaint lodged by  the boy’s father, the Njarackkal police registered a case against the teacher.

The police officials said that the accused teacher has been absconding since Friday night.
