It was Fizal Rahman’s moment in spotlight as he bagged a hat-trick of awards at the ‘Goal 2013’ on Saturday.
The Kerala Varma striker was adjudged the best striker of the tournament, man of the match for his brilliant display in the final, which included a goal, and also won the award for the top scorer of Goal 2013. The other big winner of the day was his teammate Jijo Joseph who was adjudged the best overall player of the tournament. Musthafa Arafath of Nirmala College was awarded the best defender while his teammate Sujil N S was chosen the best midfielder. Midhun V of SN College, Kannur, was chosen the best goalkeeper. The various individual awards were presented to the respective winners during the valedictory function.
