V K Santhakumari, 52, wife of P R Mohanachandran, T C C Quarters, Eloor, died in an accident at Kalamassery on Tuesday afternoon.
She was riding pillion on a motorbike with her husband when a container lorry rammed into the vehicle, in front of the KSEB sub-station at HMT Junction. The duo was coming from Kakkanad after attending a wedding function.
According to the police, in the collision, Santhakumari fell off the bike and was run over by the lorry. She died on the spot. The body was sent to Medical Trust Hospital and was handed over to relatives after the post-mortem examination. Mohanachandran suffered minor injuries. ENS
