The Kerala High Court on Friday directed the Ernakulam Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Court to adjourn the framing of charges against Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development Shashi Tharoor in the National Anthem disrespect case for two weeks. Justice V K Mohanan issued the directive while considering the plea filed by Tharoor seeking to quash all further proceedings in connection with the case. The ACJM had posted the case for framing of charges against Tharoor to  Saturday.

The High Court also directed the magistrate to file a report stating whether Tharoor had filed any application for discharge and if any order has been issued to record the satisfaction of the court.
