The Ernakulam Additional Sessions Court on Monday awarded life imprisonment and a fine of `25,000 each to the two accused in the Koothattukulam Baby murder case.
Sessions Judge V G ANil Kumar convicted the accused, Unnikrishnan and his father Neelakandan Nair of Edayar.
Additional Public Prosecutor Premson Paul Manjamattom submitted that a dispute over borrowed money resulted in the murder.
On January 25, 2009, the accused blocked an autorickshaw in which Baby was travelling and brutally stabbed him to death.
