The three-day Malabar Fest that showcased the cultural and social diversity of the region came to a close on Monday. The spectacular event attracted large number of visitors. ‘Malabar Sangamam’ and the honouring of eminent personalities from Malabar who had contributed to the development of the city added colour to the festival.

T Asaf Ali inaugurated the valedictory function. Fr Prashanth Palakapillil, principal, SH College, Thevara, delivered the keynote address. B Bhadhra, Deputy Mayor was the chief guest. The function was presided over by T S Joy. Prizes were given to winners of the cookery and painting competitions, conducted as part of the fest.
