Hundreds pay homage

The funeral of P Sadashivan, the KSRTC bus driver who was brutally beaten to death on Saturday, was held on the premises of his house, near UC College in Aluva. After the post-mortem at the Ernakulam General Hospital, the body was kept at the Ernakulam and Aluva KSRTC depots for paying homage. KSRTC employees, trade union leaders and the public offered their last respects. Aryadan Muhammed, Minister for Transport, paid homage at the General Hospital. The KSRTC employees held a protest march in all the depots in the district. Sathish Bino, Aluva Rural SP said the police has registered a case against the youths. “Our preliminary understanding is that the attack was not a pre-planned one. But we are checking all dimensions of the case,” he said.
