PHC set to celebrate E-Day

In connection with World Environment Day, the Thiruvankulam Primary Health Centre will organise a comprehensive programme focusing on issues concerning environment and health, on Wednesday. The programme will emphasise on current year’s motto Think, Eat, Save.

Gopalakrishnan, a pharmacist, Primary Health Centre, Thiruvankulam said that this is the first time that any health institution is coming forward to celebrate  World Environment Day. “We aim to create awareness on the relation between nature and health. R Venugopal, chairman, Tripunithura municipality, will inaugurate the celebrations. DMO Haseena Muhammed will deliver the keynote address. Hundreds of saplings will be planted on the occasion. A badge will be distributed to the students of Irumbanam HSS. Thilothama Suresh, vice-chairperson, Tripunithura municipality, Dr P Rajesh, medical officer, PHC, Thiruvankulam, will also attend.
